handel’s messiah: a different perspective

Always a sell-out, Manchester Camerata are back with another performance of Handel's Messiah by candlelight in the epic setting of the Great Nave of The Monastery. This time Manchester Camerata are joining with Kantos Chamber Choir, the first concert in our Artistic Parternship, and we’re adding an immersive twist not to be missed. Performed in the round, the choir and orchestra will switch perspectives to allow you a 360 experience.

Dating back to 1742 the power and beauty of Handel’s rousing ‘Hallelujah’ chorus and ‘For unto us a child is born’ will engulf the incredible natural acoustics of The Great Nave. The performance will transport us back in time away from modern distractions to allow for a moment of stillness, rejuvenation and joy before the holiday period.
