Glossop music festival - opening concert
Join us for the opening concert of the Glossop Music Festival 2026!
Glossop Music Festival was formed in 2013 and has become a much-loved, regular feature in Glossop’s cultural calendar. Founded by the violinist Tom Elliott, it has evolved from the highly successful ‘Glossop Concert Society’, which ran for the previous 25 years.
The aim of the Festival is to bring the highest quality music to the widest possible audience. They host individual chamber concerts throughout the year, together with a week-long Summer Festival of orchestral concerts, late-night events, an informal pop-up pub gig, a choral workshop with the Hallé and an education programme of workshops and concerts for local schools.
